Sales & Marketing Coordinator (Expiration 12/05/2019)

Job Description: 
The main purpose of this role is to diagnose and analyse sales statistics and data. The successful incumbent will also be expected to compile and product reports and assist in marketing activities and promotions. This role reports directly in to the General Manager Sales. This role has a financial and marketing aspect, with events and promotions taking up around 20% of the total duties.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Assist with sales reports by tracking product line sales and costs by analysing and collecting sales and new business data.
  • Good understanding of cost reports.
  • Supports sales staff by providing sales data, market trends, forecasts, account analyses, new product information, relaying customer services requests.
  • Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing and advertising.
  • Maintaining research databases.
  • Assist with Trade Shows by identifying, assembling and coordinating requirements, establishing contacts and developing schedules and assignments, coordinating mailing lists.
  • General office support to the national sales team regarding marketing activities, customer relationship management, competitive pricing and sales stats.
  • Assist with arranging of marketing campaigns, dealer events and promotions.
  • Build sustainable and strong relationships with suppliers and customers.
  • Support Company and VOLVO protocols and procedures in order to protect brand management.
  • Ensure all Company and VOLVO guidelines are adhered to at all times.
  • Check and obtain approval on creative material.
  • Support the development and implementation of an ongoing internal brand strategy
  • Working on a Customer Relationship management system, SAP or other systems relating to Product Sales
 
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
  • Must have a completed Matric
  • Formal qualification BCom Marketing, BA Marketing and Communications or Sales and Marketing National diploma
  • Financial and costing background would be beneficial to this role
  • Experience arranging and coordinating events and promotions.
  • Advanced Excel
  • SAP essential
  • Ability to deal professionally with suppliers and customers, locally and internationally
  • Exposure to the Heavy Equipment/Yellow metal industry ideally 5 years
  • Ability to handle queries and provide feedback when dealing with VOLVO Sweden office
  • Experience advertising in related magazines
  • Understanding social media platforms
